Of course it's exaggerated a bit since it's a manga, but Kazuma here is one of the few who wisened up to the abuse and is trying to cut ties with her.

Yeah typical abusers isolate you and then love bomb you on occasion so any time you think of leaving the abuse, they can remind you of all the "good" times you both had together.
