At this point, I've come to expect gender bender plot twists from holiday yasumi so when I first read I interpreted it as him being the girl in the video and the wife being otaku-kun with the implication that the events of the video never came out until years later after they'd swapped genders, gotten married, and had a kid.

The guy being otaku-kun and panicking because the video reveals he's cheating on his wife with a high school girl makes more sense though.
