As enjoyable as this is, I would like us to get out of dungeon Namek now.

If the fight is trying to showcase Dion's growth and overcoming obstacles.... it's not doing a good job at it. He's already proven that he is far more powerful than his former teammates and his childhood friend, why does he need to fight this solo? It's not like he has any personal history or grudge with this enemy, what's wrong with working with his waifu to take it down in a life or death situation? The only thing this is doing is making him out to be an unlikeable stubborn meathead.

I feel odd about that, since my complaints tend to go in the opposite direction. Normally, it's that a character is setting up to have a big moment where the prove their worth, stand on their own, directly confront their abuser or something and it would be undercut by the mc jumping in, getting a powerup instead and resolving it for them. Same for useless harem protagonists and their all-powerful harem. They usually get saved before they finish the task and make a convincing case for themselves and their abilities. I think it would have felt fine that he doesn't want to be a hero that always gets saved in the end by his heroines if it wasn't for the fact that we're all just really tired of this at this point.

Man. I kinda fucking love this? I don't understand why people are complaining about Dion finally having his moment to shine without the aid of any of his waifu's. There is also the fact that he has to push it this far because of the severity of the opponent and his own lack of offensive training. An opponent that before this fight shouldn't have existed cause it defied the logic of the world. I am personally eager to see what dion pushing himself beyond his limits does to him, particularly because we have gotten subtle foreshadowing that its dangerous for him to do precisely this, cause the dragon blood could "over take him" whatever that means. I wanna see the consequences of this fight going forward.

sure it is good to show how powerful an dungeonboss is. but i am getting annoyed how long it takes to beat him.. plus this boss is cheating. "Oh i got hurt?" sucks more power from the dungeon even he got nuked into hell and gets stronger and meanier
just stop. the shadow asshole is a Villain Mary sue at this point now. if the author wanted to show how powerful the boss is.. there are other ways to show it besides a DRAGGED OUT FIGHT!

If you want to give credit where it's due, you should put the blame where it's due too.

This is an adaptation. The "author" wrote a book. And sometimes, this is something that happens when you try to adapt an action scene from a novel into a serialized manga. Pictures just take up a lot more space on a page than words do.

Ah yes, the monthly cliffhanger. I really hate these braindead fights where all that happens is the enemy gets beaten and then shows it's true power, and then it's true true power, and then it's full power that's actually it's true true true power for real this time. Like why are we still doing this shit in big 2025? It's especially frustrating when the fight gets stretched out over months and months with only a few pages at a time...
Like please let's just move on, the whole fight is already stale as hell.
