This is where the novel went on hiatus too, so it's more of a "ran out of official source material" problem.

I'm unclear if the novel got axed or if the author had personal issues, but there's a ton more in the WN to cover that will likely never be.

just to be clear the LN stops here too. the WN webnovel is what continues the story.

that being said WN's are often considered very rough drafts of the story they can be good but your gonna get the authors power unfiltered.

just as an example in the WN Naofumi from Shield Hero is inarguably a irredeemable sack of shit if you hate shield hero imagine how much worse he is in the WN if you liked him imagine that fragile balance of being a dickhead and somewhat respectable shattered.

Why is it adapted to manga if the novel's fate isn't yet decided? Are the editors sadists, leaving us hanging like this and enjoying the sight of it?

I wish I commented this as the first comment, but just so everyone is aware, the WN is completely translated and follows relatively closely to the LN. I HIGHLY recommend checking it out. I consider it my favorite by far! The LN only has 2 volumes at this time and we have no clue as to if it’ll ever get a third unfortunately but there is still a lot more goodness to read from this amazing series. And the translations are done with passion so you can bet they are good!
