I'm not sure why this chapter had to be here when we were building all this anticipation for the date. Why was it vitally important to convey this information now, instead of before the date or even after it?

So the date can happen without her being depressed about if the play will even happen, she was an un-cool mess but now she can face things head on no matter what form it takes.

I don’t think that’s in reference to their current situation/date, I think that was an opening for the flashback.

The meeting occurs in the past, between chapters 79 & 80, after the Shiyu committee told Chiarashi & Komichi they're play is off the schedule. I speculate it Hiro's editors who placed it here so that Vol 14 would end with Erika saying, "we can't be loud..."

People confused as to why most of us have no idea what’s going on. It’s mostly the fact it’s been months and it’s easy to forget everything when you read dozens of other mangas and novs. I have 0 memory of what’s going on besides the date 😭😅
