Huh, it shows that there's 44 chapters but this certainly feels like the final chapter to me. Unless we get a proper marriage chapter and the like, then that'd be a good cap off to this long journey. Though even this was a chaotic and fun finale.

I looked, saw the title drop, checked the chapters remaining saying 44, then refreshed the page and saw it got changed to 41 chapters.

Also, "I'll cherish your daughters"? It was a bigamy ending? I thought the little sis was firmly in sister territory. Deserves a happy marriage + 10yrs later chap showing the hypothetical ¾ human/bird kids anyways though.

Great ending! I enjoyed this manga overall, but I felt like it was starting to drag after the middle, but the pace picked up and things got interesting again right near the end.

Ironically, the idea of using the Bird Cafe as an embassy and humans discovering Avians and learning to live with them is probably just as interesting as a concept as the original premise of this manga. If a short spinoff were in the cards, it would be a great topic, imo.

In chapter 39, you can see that the food the doctor sent was the bulk supplies they had in chapter 1 were boxes sent by the doctor. That, combined with these two pages from the early chapters:

I think that the geezers came up with the idea of a "cafe" to be able to send provisions to the then-kids with less suspicion. That's why everything "cafe-esque" about it is half-assed
