This manga was quite something. It felt like it scratched a veeeery particular itch somewhere between poignant/emotional slapstick and wholesome/deviant. For the most part I felt the serious/emotional parts were enhanced as they arrived between all the tsun & cute interactions but I could see how some might see them as jarring. Glad that Misha was able to resolve her feelings, find a goal and put a good deal of work over the years into making it happen through the magic of a timeskip.

With that, I'm finally off miss muscle maid's wild ride after that first encounter in 2018 and feel satisfied. A sombre moment but I'm also quite happy that the author was able to expand upon and get so far with a concept that was originally intended to be very brief. Guess now I'll look forward to more chapters of their ongoing work Yuri Yuri Panic ~Toutosugiru Jian ga Hasseishiteimasu!~ which carries some of the same vibes.

I still feel like this series should not have the romance tag, since there is pretty much no real romance in it at all…
Also basically the only difference from the start of the series to the end is that they are now older, she still hates her maid and maid still loves her…

It ended satisfyingly, and there even was a spicy shot of muscles. Although I wish there was one of Midorin. She had more body fat, and that gave her a smoother, sleeker look, and I would've appreciated a glimpse of that as well / instead. Midori showing her abs in the anime in particular was really nice. Much sexier than Tsubame, at least according to my own tastes.

Thanks for the translations, it was a wild ride of both wacky hijinks and wholesome familial relationships and a lot of good life lessons too (just like Like a Sea Urchin).
On a side note aren't Tsubame and Midori like, almost 50 now? Those muscles sure are something.

I like this manga, and the end was cute, but to be fair to its flaws and strengths, why the fuck are 2 of the last 10 chapters (54 and another one I don't remember the number of) about random shenanigans
like why are we in 54 reading about Midorin helping a door-to-door saleswoman find her passion in life
or the fact that Kamoi's sister was just a lolicon like her but with a defined niche in pseudo-incest was also random (I did laugh tho, it was funny)
And at the end, just keeping the status quo IN THE LAST CHAPTER

this last stretch, when it was weak it was really weak, but the chapter about letting others into her mother's room and the one about kumagoro and the hamsters were strong enough so I will remember this manga fondly as one of the greatest lolicon manga of all times, thanks for the translations Elaite
