My goodness, we don't see her right eye at all in the chapters when they are in high school . Something terrible probably happened to her therefore causing her to lose self-esteem and become like how she is currently. She then fears the MC will leave her because of what appears to be a leftover mark hence being overly clingy and fearful at the same of him and therefore hiding her eye via bangs.
