Yep, the drama thicken, Almark now has to prove himself to Wendy that he isn't the same kind of person as those mercenaries. Wonder if he would keep it as secret or Wendy found out in the worst possible way.

Also, that spread page Wendy was cool.

Ah, Wendy and the naivety of youth.

Wendy when finding out Almark is mercenary: "I hate mercenary and they should disappear, but you're different. You're not like those bad mercenary. I want you to be my side."
Hypocrite as fuck!

How is that a hypocrite those mercs literally slaughtered everyone for the lols and some pocket money they were not even mercs at that point by definition they were nothing but assassins trying to murder an 11 year old kid even the boss of that group said as such mc on the other hand fought with his father on battlefields only true mercenary work he didnt do infiltration and assassination jobs killing noble children in peaceful countries

A hypocrite would be 2 people doing the same thing but getting opposite treatment these "mercs" were evil trash that reveled in blatant murder of innocents no different than bandits for hire the mc and his father are more like the co mc of Witch and Mercenary

Dude. She said "Mercenaries like that". And it seems likely the ambiguity of meaning is there in the original Japanese ("anna youhei" or something like that) to give the MC his measure of doubt and panic attacks, but...

More subtly and more importantly, though: Changing your views to be more accurate once you receive new and better information isn't 'hypocrisy'. It's good! If she really did have a vendetta against all mercenaries, this wouldn't be a hypocritical "but it's not bad if my friend does it"—since he's not doing the stuff she hates in the first place—but rather "my worldview was narrow and wrong", surely?
