This sounds like a very Japan thing.

Here, we just need a 2 months deposit. If the tenant stops paying, the landlord has 2 months to kick out the tenant.
It varies by state. From what I've read it can take up 90 days if the eviction is contested or even longer based on the court schedule and/or extenuating circumstances.

Here in Teh UK it's required if you don't have a stable full-time income. Fixed term contracts are meant to be a measure of stability for the landlord, and having to evict a tenant is an expense, so having additional guarantees before actually using the deposit means less risk.

This also means that you can very easily find yourself in a truly bullshit situation where without a job (e.g. because of redundancies) you have a very hard time renting a place because a lot of landlords won't even accept paying for the whole term upfront...

What a weird place to put the confession, like she even helps bro move out before telling him
She only realised just now lol. She didn't notice how much she cares for him until she witnessed his mum yelling at her son over trying to become more independent...

This is much better with her emoting. Her straightforwardness makes it so cute. Like of course she'd confess as soon as she realizes it.

Also, my guy, please DO get that piece crap you mistakenly call a mother out of your life. There's not a reality where that type of treatment towards one's son is tolerable. She lost her husband, big whoop. A child lost his father and then on top of that had to take care of his terminally I'll grandmother because the adult mother in his life couldn't be bothered. It doesn't even seem him his mom "raised" him after the father died, so much as kept him alive. Emotional neglect is a form of abuse. Scientists have literally done studies with animals to see just how much it can mess a living being up. Being an apologist for the mother in that situation isn't being a positive kind hearted person, it's just not healthy. Like please go to therapy. The MC should be the one pushing her out of his life. He would've never been a shut in if he wasn't put in a situation of taking care of his grandma following his dad's death. There's so many different ways to hypothesize how traumatizing that combination would be to a minor. Especially one without the love and support of their only parent left.

Her telling him that she is in love with him right there when she finally realized her feelings is very much in character for her. She is straightforward and doesn't hide things or beat around the bush at all. She might have kept something from him if it meant she would hurt him again, because that is something she doesn't want to do. All the little things finally piled up and she put words to the feelings she has for him.

Being there and worrying about where he is moving, how he would be able to do it, him getting berated by his mother, sticking up for him by yelling at her over the phone. All of these things show how important he is to her and now that she is honest and put words to the feelings I would hope he won't move out...but, who knows right now with how he is.
