page 2 Her foot... it looks broken. Like I get what they wanted to draw. But the problem is the way that the knee and calf looks, it looks like instead of properly twisting your leg 90 degrees inward, it looks like the leg twisted outwards 270 degrees instead to accomplish the same result, except doing that breaks your leg. Also this is more of an issue of the shadowing, but the leg looks like a little stubby leg too.

And not too surprised that his ability to cast so many debuff spells at once is actually admired. I had a sneaking suspicion that he was basically juts being ultra negative about himself despite him being something that could be recognized as a top percentage of mages. Sure he had no attack magic, but when you can cast something called a Black Hole and you can stack multiple spells over one another for your desired effect without breaking a sweat, chanting or anything. I'm fairly sure those are typically indications of a high level mage.

I uh. For a while I thought this manga was floundering. But once he got the teaching position and is able to strut a bit from a position of respect, suddenly it doesn’t feel so painful to read anymore.

Like everything before this was angst, inferiority complex, everyone looking down on him, my daughters!!!!, angst, etc etc. and I get that was to build the foundation and push growth but…it was just not great to read. And so was the whole spirit trial. The way he actually overcame the spirit was great, but the entire span of the battle just felt so contrived.

This though, this was great. I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.
