dang thanks for the upload marathon

lol i don't think her staying would rly help anyways, although even if she can't convince the cops she'd post to a bunch of conspiracy theory websites and invite more ppl but i wonder what would happen if she tried to leave the city without a 'parasite' herself

Yeah seems like this parasite multiplies. They aren't like a hivemind that'll die just from killing one.
Oh man, what a cliffhanger!! Thank you so much for the chapters, I was literally just wondering if this series had been purged! 🥲

Well shit. If I had to guess, the parasites responded to the damage by moving upward out of the neck... maybe to get the job done you'd need to yank the parasites out entirely. But then again, there could be microscopic eggs left behind in the flesh.

How incredibly unpleasant!

Damn fine try tho. o7

I generally find the protag annoying because of her idiotic behaviour (art kid amirite /j) but I do felt bad for her this time. See her friend doomed despite her best effort to help must felt really bad.

welp, I guess it's one of those things where even a little bit reaches the brain, and it's guaranteed death.

The wording of "cognitively contaminated" from last chapter sounds to me like once your brain is infected, the actual physical parasite doesn't really matter and you're doomed no matter what. It's literally and figuratively a "brain worm" that's just going to remanifest itself.

It makes me wonder if she’d see one herself if it got in her or if being able to “see” them makes her immune to being infected? As an artist I’m surprised she wouldn’t wanna go to the city herself but I’d think most ppl who live in this kinda town would still have a “desire” to go to the city even if they don’t do so for a career goal

Fascinating little theory: if these are parasites, then mightn't it be possible that the old man in the tunnel is there to keep the rest of the world safe? Now that he's dead, these things can spread everywhere...
