Considering Allen is basically air dominant and is making bombing runs at will, I'm wondering how long this goes on before word gets to the nobles that their soldiers are getting wiped out. And what will the response be?

That doesn't make sense. How does the lack of fragments in the body meet the definition of "non-detectable" fragments? You do realize, that the ice will soon melt, leaving only open wounds right? While I'm aware this only increases the chances of bleeding out, that's not what the rule you brought up is supposed to regulate against.

(Of course, it's highly doubtful that the shards could penetrate even simple gambesons, nevermind actual armor, but let's assume they do, for the sake of the argument).
If a tornado can put straw through concrete, ice piercing a gambeson is nothing as long as it's going fast enough. Let's not forget he's using god-grade wind magic, so speeds like that seem like they should be a pretty simple accomplishment from his side.

Never heard of anything like that. Do you mean a plastic straw? Or a piece of wood resembling an arrow? The former is frankly unbelievable, while the latter, well maybe. Arrows could penetrate steel without breaking, given enough draw weight, after all and that's a greater challenge than concrete.

I guess a gambeson would be in the realm of possbility if given pressures like during a detonation of a high explosive. Still, the problem is - it's ice. If we're respecting physics, then no matter if the explosion accelerating it is conventional or magical, that much energy release should generate a lot of heat that will at least partially melt the shards, making them dull and reducing the chance for much harm.

Air bombs, huh? Pretty useful. Refueling is the only limitation, but people in this era can't move that fast, and certainly not in enough numbers to chase him down as long as he manages fuel properly.
