The lack of subtlety in naming and plot points (a shrine where you lose half of something having twins as the main characters like come on man) is definitely very Danganronpa

In the first place I don't think it's a good idea to sic a specter on people that is a member of, you know, the Paranormal Club... the club that studies about the specters... where the senpai is rumored to have survived many specter encounters before and doesn't bat an eye using other people as guinea pigs for her experiments with the specters... and the other member, a transfer student that was recently attempted to be offered as a sacrifice but the perpetrator is the one that ended up dying...

I sorta get it because this is probably the best/only opportunity they've ever had.

Like they normally don't have a good way two trick someone with a specter or a good way to get two people at once so when those things aligned they got excited and overlooked the stuff you said plus the fact that it's really obvious they have exclusive knowledge of how this specter works.

It's pretty hilarious seeing them get called out immediately lol.

The advantage of the thought of having more info about the specter really got to her head indeed. As for the opportunity to trick two people, I just kinda find it hard to believe since they probably would have many opportunities with the people doing their prayers (the vandalized one).

And yeah it was pretty funny they got called out early, I wasn't expecting that at all.

The issue is probably that they're getting adults but not other kids.

Like the shrine isn't famous enough to draw people from out of town* and there are several layers of reasons why the other kids in town wouldn't go there with them, especially in a group of two or more.**

* If I were them I'd paint the rest of the sign to match the cursed part, add some cute details, and then start posting on SNS to lure someone in.

** Personally if I were an identical twin in this town I'd want to avoid both "I secretly target them -> they were also secretly targeting me -> we both end up dying" and "we target one person -> who gets credit for the kill -> argument, paranoia that the twin who can leave first will abandon the other -> we both end up dying" outcomes by targeting two people.
