To be honest I had to reread the ticket portion a couple times cause I was a bit confused, but that’s just a me thing lol. I understand that Karen bought two tickets, but I’m just wondering: Was there a reason Karen bought a ticket for herself in that moment? Why not wait till the Returner punched Sakura’s ticket, killed her, and then buy her own? Was she planning on running away the moment the clock hit 6? But if that’s the case, I assume she’d already be at the station ready to leave with a brand new ticket, since Sakura definitely would’ve died without her new friend.

Karen bought only one ticket (no. 9324, if you look closely on page 27), because she needed a ticket to get onto the platform (page 44, 2nd speech bubble in the top right panel). Sakura bought the other ticket (no. 9325, see page 30).

As for why she wasn't at the station at 18:00: she needed to semi-directly be involved in Sakura's death by the Returner, which is impossible if she's at the station, as Karen never even as much as touched Sakura's ticket, meaning no inolvement.
