They should spread the soft power of otaku culture in the new world to mask their military strength. With so many potential weebs, they might be able to dominate that world without facing future resentment for any past totally unpopular decisions.

Oh wait...

Thank you for the amazing update!

can't see this going wrong, when has annexing lands and forcing high reparations on a militaristic nation ever gone wrong?

Considering Japan knows this all too well,if they get the lands, they'll be very careful to make sure things go a lot smoother.

If someone else does, then Japan would be able to guide them to a degree to prevent some corporal who can't paint humans from firing a gun in a bar, writing a book about his struggles whilst in prison for an uprising, and create a chain of command so asinine that it plays a major role in the nations downfall.
cant make any funny comment, all these politicks just flew over my head

maybe that funny rockefeller society ahhh masks I guess

just hand over that bitch, man....
This chapter was pretty light on politics, for the main thing that was happening was the various parties both out and in the empire trying to figure out their next move, and no one knows whose going to move first.
So now it's a race against who can draw in the mexican standoff and who will hit the critical vitals first.
And it's going to be a chaotic bloodbath if more then one starts blasting.

It’s interesting that they’re talking so much about Iwakuni Air base but not mentioning the fact it’s a joint US marine base. They’ve really just kinda ignored the massive US military presence in Japan completely, would’ve been a pretty cool arc to see how they handled US/ Japanese relations right after this happened because you know the military would lock down and wouldn’t just instantly follow Japanese command.
