Pleasant story so far (began yesterday) but I wonder where the feelings from chapter 2 went? Seems the author pulled a high note at the start only to quietly tone down over the next few chapters. On Mira I'm torn. I like that she doesn't know human emotions or norms but I wish she would have some of her own. I want her monsterness to be something more than a mere lack of humanness.
