Next time, on Kaijuu Jietai Z: A baby step towards victory happens, politics pollute the fun, and our protagonist continues to just be a booth babe. The pacing feels both slow and reasonable at the same time. Like, things ARE happening, but it's like we're getting every minute described over several minutes. Hiruko just won't go down.

I mean if other nation are really that worry about it... Then just make unmanned submarine, small one, couple torpedo each, as it currently stands, the only benefits of Delphine is provide clear picture of the sea layout, and they still needed a lot of Delphine to provide such image, a basic sonar would be easy to find them, and from other description, it would seems that Delphine doesn't work at a very far range away from the mother ship either

Also once again, buy a few bunker buster from the US or EU immediately, and penetrate that thing whenever it surface

Wouldn't the US forces be stationed in the Philippines if it gets to lead the charge? The trench is near that country, it's just that Japan is a popular kaiju destination.

Well, Japan having the advanced tech is just one of the problem.

Military-wise, the case I can imagine is establishing sea supremacy. If Japan can establish zone clear of other countries subs, it also means they can be the only force under the surface, and could target other countries’ ships from below uncontested.
But that probably would last not more than half decade. Delphine is a proof of concept, even if Japan kept the tech as a black box, it has proven the idea of sonar drone mesh with AI transforming the data into visual is possible. Big spenders like USA or China military contractors would craft their own take on it soon.

The fact that they have that tech itself is already enough pretext for neighbours like China or Korea to cry foul about the evil Japan arming itself and becoming regional threat, and use it to rally other countries demanding Japan to yield and be nerfed if it doesn’t want to be labelled evil.
How Japan will use it is not important. Having a boogeyman is convenient to make other people agree on your proposition against that threat.

Meanwhile, USA is already unhappy ever since Hoshiyama made that manoeuvre to put Japan in virtually the leadership position in this Kaiju issue. Like right now, they’re attempting to undermine Hoshiyama politically and replace him with their puppet.
People tend to follow someone who had track record of getting-things-done. Especially boosted with a tried-and-proven solution. Unless they have a better idea (usually they don’t).
With the track record, Japan can use Kaiju disaster as pretext to propose political and military coordination in the Pacific Rim, and countries there would prioritise the imminent issue compared to USA’s political and military interest in the area. Not that they actually submit to Japan, but just being able to say “you are not our top priority right now, try harder to convince us why we should listen” against America would be a convenient bargaining chip.

Similar to how Gundam basically created the "Real Robot" genre, this manga's creating the "Real Kaiju" genre, where the military does work and can win, but with all sorts of issues and struggles. It's actually quite refreshing, and an idea I thought of myself, and was hoping someone would do.

And just like with Gundam, we seem to have psychic or empathic "Newtypes" emerging, like Mr. Glasses. To be fair though, Gundam's so old it's not shocking that people might be subconsciously influenced by it.

Man I hate that they need to even considers politics against unprecedented threats like this, humans are just that scum :(
Fr. It's a fricking kaiju for god sakes. Humanity as whole is more important than the pity dick measuring contest.
