A tank charging into a fight with someone capable of one-hit kills is basically suicide. He was willing to die for Allen's sake, and in the end, all Rick did was make his death more meaningful.

Well. I mean the goal was to kill them all to begin with. So making good use of their corpses now rather than later is fine. The tank was always going to die to begin with, so why not recycle it for your purposes.

Guess he's now starting to go down the path of Sasuga Ainz.

That's one way to look at it. Some liches have the ability to fully ressurect their friends. If Rick wants he could probably ressurect him fully and just have him leave the dungeon.
