Also, if you want to purchase an actual butchered full pig, you need to go to a farmer, they can sell you these for parties like that.

Yeah, but the joke was this characters not realizing that, and the purchase limit ou know of was for a vegetable, I doubt a store would stop someone from buying all their pig meat.

I went looking for information on this weird money... I'm not sure about the state of Lu, but allegedly there were many instances of knife money around the Warring States Period, which sounds like something you'd make up as a joke in a manga - "even the money was warlike!" There was also spade money. Personally I think it's good we converged on coins and bills instead.

honestly I half expected to try to find a wild boar to roast versus a supermarket, tho I hear actors in Korea do some pig head ceremony before filming for luck , so maybe some places prolly would have it if not breeding a smaller kinda pig

Yeah, it's more than I'd personally pay for pistachios tho apparently chinese markets are known for haggling? but who knows, a femboy streamer might make a surprising amount of money/it's 'new years' so ppl splurging is fine. I'd be more concerned about how much he spent on the meat lol
