Yeah, you put it perfectly. So many works jeopardized and straight up ruined by weird creepy self-insert or oshi-type characters being accomodated for by warping everything around them no matter how dogshit it is

I did read ch39 on the TL's website and, damn, that is one egregious case of the aforementioned. Absolute trash.

Man, the action suuuuucks. It's hard to tell where they are in relation to one another and what their actions are doing to change their positions. It's like there are two or three panels missing from every move. Look at pages 8 and 9, it's like the only panels that connect to each other are the first two on page 8, but after that each panel is separated from the rest of the pages. And it's not like the author is incapable of making it, pages 14 and 15 work really well!

That said, I'm more interested in analyzing the panels rather than the plot. But man, I know they're worried about Drago but they should also try to do something about Julius. And why is he standing there like he wouldn't get caught up in the destruction she's spreading? He can't control her anymore in her berserker state, he is not immune to her fire!

I feel like I'm reading something that it's expecting to have anime adaptation at one point and this would be like a cut off to a 'hype' anime episode lmao

Again, we don't care nor know enough about the villain to actually feel anything about him or what he does.

And Washio being a badass should've happened a couple of chapters ago, but it is nice it's happening now. Better late than never.

Alas, there's really only one way for an author to learn, and it's from making mistakes... and having a good editor to make suggestions. With what's currently happening, the author doesn't seem to have an editor or a bad one.
