-Part 1: The Birthday Betrayal-

• Today was Eiji's birthday. He was supposed to go on a date with his girlfriend, Miyuki.
• But Miyuki texted him, saying she couldn't come because of a club meeting.
• Eiji felt really sad and confused. Not sure what to do, he took a train far from home.
• He accidentally walked into an area with lots of love hotels.
• There, he saw Miyuki! She was holding hands with another guy. It was Kondo – the famous star player of the school soccer team.
• Shocked, Eiji ran up to them. He asked Miyuki why they were together in that place. He grabbed her hand without thinking.
• Eiji didn't grab hard, but Miyuki acted like it hurt. Kondo immediately punched Eiji. He yelled, "Don't touch my girlfriend!".
• Kondo told Miyuki to choose: him or Eiji. He told her to say Eiji was just a creepy stalker who imagined she liked him.
• Miyuki, scared of losing Kondo, broke up with Eiji right there. She chose Kondo, saying she couldn't live without him.

-Part 2: Rumors and Bullying-

• The next day, gossip exploded at school. Everyone said Eiji had hurt Miyuki. Photos of her slightly red wrist were all over social media (like X).
• Because Kondo and Miyuki were popular, everyone believed them. No one believed Eiji, just an ordinary student.
• Eiji got bullied badly: nasty words written on his desk ("Die stalker!"), his shoes hidden or thrown out, his stuff destroyed.

-Part 3: Kondo's Cruelty & Meeting Ai-

• When Eiji bumped into Kondo at school, he asked Kondo why he was doing this.
• Kondo just smiled meanly. He said he loved ruining people's lives. He bragged about a girl in junior high – she was dating her childhood friend (an otaku). Kondo flirted with her, made her dump her boyfriend right in front of him, and loved seeing how broken the guy looked.
• Kondo dumped that girl after graduation. She was smart before, but being with Kondo messed her up and she fell behind in school. He loved tricking girls into thinking it was real love when it was just a game to him.
• Hearing this made Eiji feel sick. He almost fainted. The pain was so bad he thought about ending his own life.
• Looking for a quiet spot at school, he found a first-year student named Ai (famous for being super smart and beautiful) on the roof, about to jump.
• Seeing Ai like that snapped Eiji out of his own dark thoughts. He rushed to stop her, almost falling off himself.

-Part 4: A New Connection & Miyuki's Regret-

• After saving Ai, Eiji took her to his house (which was also a restaurant). Ai felt warm and welcome with Eiji's family. Their food cheered her up.
• Ai realized something: Lots of guys had promised to protect her, but it felt fake. Seeing Eiji risk himself to save someone he just met made her heart flutter. She started falling for him.
• Ai and Eiji started going to school together. Seeing the school's top girl with the most hated boy shocked everyone. The nasty gossip about Eiji started to fade.
• Ai's friends asked why she was with Eiji, knowing the rumors. Ai asked them back: "Did you see it happen?" She didn't believe the gossip. Being with Eiji, she knew he wasn't the type to hurt a girl.

-(Miyuki's Jealousy)-

• Miyuki saw Eiji holding hands with Ai and felt jealous! She still thought of Eiji as hers, forgetting she dumped him.
• Wanting to apologize, Miyuki went to Eiji's house. She met his mom.

• Heartbroken, Miyuki went home. To escape her feelings, she called Kondo. Yep, she asked him to come over (while her mom was out) to have sex and forget her pain.

-Part 5: Karma Hits Kondo & Miyuki-

• Kondo played badly at a university soccer practice. The coach and players said he wasn't good enough. Angry and needing to vent, he called Miyuki to meet.
• They headed to a love hotel.
• The otaku guy Kondo hurt in junior high (now friends with Eiji) saw them go in! He took pictures. He also called the police because you have to be 18 to enter love hotels.
• (This otaku became lonely and distrustful after Kondo ruined his life. In high school, Eiji reached out to him, asking about books. They became friends. Hearing Eiji was hurt by Kondo too made the otaku furious. He followed Kondo, gathering evidence – like photos of Kondo going to Miyuki's house. Seeing them enter the hotel was the proof he needed).
• The police arrived and arrested Kondo and Miyuki at the hotel.
• Miyuki's mom was hysterical at the police station. She couldn't believe her daughter cheated on kind Eiji and was caught in a love hotel with another guy. The shock made her faint.

-The Ending (Volume 1)-

• Kondo and Miyuki finally faced some consequences for their actions.
• Kondo and his dad thought they could cover everything up. They planned to use Miyuki even more.
• But they didn't know: The otaku had already sent the photos to the high school soccer coach. If that didn't work, he was ready to post everything online to ruin Kondo and smear his dad's name (who was running for mayor!).
• Also, the former mayor (a friend of Eiji's dad who loved Eiji like a grandson) was getting involved. He wouldn't forgive anyone who hurt Eiji.
• And the school? The principal and teachers were ready to punish the bullies and even report them to the police.

And honestly i cant give my limited empathy to a fictional cheater character, even author gave up about redemption for her not my problem. People are free to want a redemption for her but it wont come from me bc im not interested, it could have been different if she chose to come clean before it escalated to the point he wanted to die. You all are forgetting about the fact he almost died bc of her since mc is fine later on but that doesnt mean it changes what she did in my eyes. You can cheat its fine, you can just fck his heart but if you fck his life completely too and dont take responsibility for what u did, there will be no empathy from anyone. Am i harsh? I agree that she is kind of a victim too but its %30 her fault for almost killing him and she didnt even go to jail? If we count her as victim then that shitty guy also a victim of someone else since he get manipulated. Maybe bc she finally confessed what happened they didnt held her as guilty but i cant forget the fact she almost killed him. That point is the most important imo.

The fact that she happily kisses and sleeps with the playa kinda proves that he was the road block in moving the relationship forward. Yes he got suicidal, but remember that this was all set-up by a 3rd party to destroy the MC, and while this girl played a part in it, the massive organised pile on is what breaks him. We can't lay it all at her door. There is a much bigger bad in this story, the girlfriend was just a naïve idiot. She is not the devil incarnate.
