To be honest the guild would generally ask people to pass etiquette class before an adventurer causes a problem with a noble and damages the guild's reputation.
I’m sorry…did the two beastmen really decide to ride with the racist noble? WHY? unless they wanna explicitly show off that they can handle his crap, that’s an awful move. Pair him up with the quiet guy and Rei. He can handle an idiot
also, I’m guessing the solid gold carriage is to lure in bandits and the real trial is keeping the nobles safe
It may be the opposite, the girl beastkin may have realized the boy beastkin may have harmed their chances of passing and trying to make up for it.
Do realize the quest itself isn't important, what matters is how you handle the nobles. Trying to shy away from a noble is likely a guaranteed failure.
On top of that, the girl beastkin likely knows all these nobles are here for Rei. So giving Rei to the highest ranking noble actually earns them points.
