With the way these stories go it wouldn't surprise me in the least if she shows up again and joins him.

Sure, she was the only sane on in the party, but even beyond that she was the only who respected him and saw him for who he was. She has an interest in him, and after finding out that the kingdom wanted him dead she won't stand for it...thus probably planning to defect away.

Also wouldn't hurt to have a healer with him for world domination and all.

Mary just learned that her party members tried to kill Keith, something thaqt probably she should have already suspected from chapter 1, and more that the order came from the TOP of the nation. She is by all matter of fact a liability for the party and the kingdom, especially now that the king got his skill stolen and is a high risk to make rash and bad decisions.
This was the moment Keith should have asked Mary if she wanted to join him, offering his protection.
Mary could have refused if the author wanted to drag on the story.

Oh good he actually stole the hero party powers. I was worried MC might leave Keith powered and alive, but now he’s just alive and probably a future pain in the neck, if JP fantasy standards are to dictate these days.

I LOVE this plot. The MC isn’t acting powerless or is held back by some dumb inability to kill or whatever. He took EVERYTHING from the people who tried to kill him, he explained the story about how they tried to kill him, and he’s taking resources and power that otherwise would have been wasted.

I was in shock after reading this, because of how much it’s moving. Good shit. Let’s see him unite the whole damn continent.
