I only like to buy physical copies of books, with digital copies buying isn't owning and if buying isn't owning then piracy isn't stealing. I do still support the author where I can afford, I own physical copies of a bunch of stuff
Depends entirely on how those digital copies are distributed. If it's some bullshit like Kindle where you just get access to the book from an online repository then you're right, but plenty of places will provide the actual files. And considering the fact that the purchase page for this has details for a download deadline (which is indefinite), and file size, I would assume it's the latter.
I do agree that having physical copies of books is way nicer, but your statement about digital copies not constituting ownership is just nonsense in this context.
