Yeah I get you but trust me OCD fucks you up to the point where one small insecurity becomes a massive inconvenience and you feel your entire day is ruined by it. For example, in OCD with symmetry, someone will literally fix one side of something to look like the other ( in extreme cases even ruining the item just to make it look the same on both sides )

Obviously this is an extreme but OCD is fucking trash and this guy likely feels insecure about the lunch more than anything because he couldn’t verify it.
Other factor is because it is unfamiliar to him. This made me think if in the future he would be able to enjoy a meal prepared by her when they grow proximity, probably living together?

You know, credit where its due, she did actually try to apologize. Now shes still trying to force her values on him out of the blue without even knowing him and all that but i think shes doing pretty well for a grade schooler.
Bit of a reversal from last chapter well see if it stays like this.
Thanks for the translation!

True. But even if I had this type of conditions, I wont let somebody to get hurt just because I didnt accept their kindness.

To be fair, after reading stories of people going to conventions and almost getting killed for accepting food with poison, needles, glass etc, I think it's reasonable why someone wouldn't take food for other people.
In my country, a incident happened where there was literally a razor blade in the food. Glad that somebody notice that immediately

Dude, it's a mental illness. Those OCD freaks can't help it and are suffering.
And kindness that turns to resentment if it's not accepted isn't kindness. Not saying that's what the girl is doing, she handled it as well as she could in the circumstances, but I am saying that getting angry at people for not accepting "kindness" they didn't ask for is a dick move.
I know. I also know that it is indeed a dick move. I was also like this (not taking someones kindness granted) where I would just ignore them.

Years later when I see them, things get awkward between us

FFS, guys : leave the kid alone… If he doesn’t want her bento, that’s his right !

You people act like those drunkards who force their non-drinking Friends to drink even after they refused.
Ik but it kinda hurts to see the girl like that. If I was like this in my country, I would be burn to death by mobs just for hurting them unintentionally.

There are unironically people like those. Those who won't eat food that other people prepared.
It's not that they are germaphobe but they have deep mistrust when the food wasn't prepared without their presence which I understand.

So it's not that they're dicks. It's just what they are.
My aunt and my maternal grandma is a germophobe and maybe have a slight case of OCD. But she is not like him.

Bonus: They are both kind as well and takes the gift given to them without any hesitation.

And what if you had an allergy/bad allergy to one of the ingredients in it ?
Would they also get mad at you for "shaming their cooking" or something ?

Lmao, I once went in a dinner with my parents and there was glass in the dessert. Also, some people from my country have the habit of putting a large nail while cooking beans to treat iron deficiency.
