I would have liked if in the previous timeline Sion learned that It was all planned by his people the downfall of the tearmoon empire and others were He learns that many innoncent were killed thus making him a mad king instead.

he already is more or less a mad king. He's basically a tyrant in the og timeline, with the day he had Mia put to death haunting him for the rest of his days.

Ia there any mention of her father in the novel? He's the emperor right? So far we haven't seen him in the previous timeline
Her father, the emperor was sent to the guillotine shortly after the rebellion overthrew the government. Mia was kept in prison for years (IIRC three years) before executed. There was a heartbreaking flashback in a later volime, where we saw how devastated when Mia heard about her father's execution.

So she did have someone else who cared for her ;-;
Her maid, Anne also cared for her in the previous timeline. She "just can't leave her alone", apparently, and continued to visit Mia until the day of execution

In the Original Timeline Tiona's father was Kidnapped and later Kill to blame mía's family.

Is the very Same plot that try to use in Abel's country, by the Same mastermind
I was more referring to the, “is he like Tiona’s father who likes it when you hit him!?” bit, but I had forgotten about the kidnapping so thanks for that.

I wonder where the series can go from here? It's seems like it's cleanly wrapping up, but I can see others talking about multiple timelines and Mia going back to the start again? :thonk:

you should note that the we are only in volume 2 of the LN, where there is currently 17 (soon to be 18) volumes out. There is a lot more to come with this series

Hence why I said "someone else" lol

After rereading this manga and half of the chapters that were released and translated, my feelings for Mia grew. Although she tried to avoid thinking too much and was afraid of others, from what I have read, she never hated anyone, not even the person who killed her. If I were in her shoes, I would despise people and consider taking revenge, but Mia never considers that.

part of her not wanting to take revenge also is from her past experiences. She hates pain, so she doesn't want to make others suffer it.

Well, the the series has two wells that it constantly draws from.
1) The Chaos Serpants are as much an idea as an organization—so Its never fully destroyed.
2) The desire for the characters (and society) to become the absolute best versions of themselves.

Those wells are pretty deep, considering that the Chaos Serpents had a lot of help from good people to accomplish their evil goals in the OT—it’s not like Sion was the only one.

should probably mark those bits as they haven't been revealed yet

im sorry but who was rafina again
She is the daughter of Duke Orleans Belluga, which is the leader of the Holy Principality of Belluga. (i.e. she's the 'princess' of Belluga).

She doesn't have a major role yet so far in the story so it's quite understandable to forget her.

She will start getting more heavily involved from the next arc tho, so if you want to jog your memory, she first appeared at chapter 7.
