Because god forbid a side character doesn't have a sappy, generic flashback. This just will not stop going full throtle through all the worst tropes, and no amount of forced randomness and sharknado references will fix the underlying problem that the manga is becoming generic AF. Usually I wouldn't care, but it started out so much better...

Hey! Everyone knows nothing major can happen during a flashback in a shonen manga/anime! That guy’s story kept them aloft for a good ten minutes more!
