And yet the mother's desire is made redundant by the inevitable existence of some mage who can just teleport across the universe (as well as other realms, planes, dimensions and so on), as I'm sure many can. It's likely an ability say, Fuyu for instance, has. I guess she just got enamored with the journey aspect of it (or she just wants to go really fast), rather than actually caring about whether she arrives somewhere or not. I actually hate this chapter, if only because it delivers its message really well.

For some reason, I started wondering about Yuuyake's mental state prior to the start of this series. She never knew her parents, her vivacious grandmother passed away (for reasons we still do not know but which seem irregular given their immortality), and she has no friends aside from Grey. She has her job, and she has machines to work on, but...

Huh. Maybe the dark circles are doing some work.
