I guess it's the mom's turn now. I wonder if it's going to be a nuclear option like murder, or just catching her trespassing and stealing. I don't understand why she'd lend him the console though, considering his mom is sure to pawn it if she finds out. Just lending it when he goes to school would be safer, and he'd have to come over to play, so they would get more time together.

Also seeing Naoto feeling left out because he doesn't have a console brings back memories. I never had a ps3 and most of the other kids had consoles so I would lie saying I had one as well. I would even watch the gameplay playthroughs of whatever was the hot game so that I could talk about whatever it is they were talking about.

While others were playing games like assassin creed on console I was playing the mobile versions on Java. Even the soccer games, I forgot what they're names were but I played the mobile versions for those too. (This was on Nokia)

The fact that she give him such expensive things, whilst knowing the mum might take it to pawn show.
Is really scary thinking, in order to get him to run away or something.
Or maybe she is setting up for the mum to trespass so she can do away with her in secret.
Fuck this is better than most normal horrors, because of how deranged she is as she manipulates and goes after someone so helpless. The only thing that might make it scarier would be to make the helpless child physically disabled so that he can't get away. Maybe if the child was bind and instead of a sexy older woman it would be a gross old hag.
But I guess a wolf in sheep's clothing is always rather terrifying.

I agree, though the case presented is by far the most charitable grooming you could imagine from someone like naruko, an obsessive, hyper intelligent madwoman who sneaks into her target’s schools to plant wire taps and bashes in the skulls of the faculty on a whim, “regular” grooming is more similar to something like the first chapter of “ai no senbiki” where the groomer pretends to be nice for a while and then just jumps to sexual contact once they feel the target won’t (or cant) refuse which in my opinion is usually worse than the abuse that was faced previously because of the betrayal.

Grooming as depicted in many “oneeshota” manga might as well just be sexually charged adoption, not ideal by any means but given the circumstances of the “shotas” in many of these stories it often paradoxically becomes the best thing that’s happened to these kids and that’s fucking awful
