I think I've finally hit the limit of my patience with this one. The characters have had zero meaningful development throughout the series, and there hasn't been a plotline that's not just "bad guy is villain doing evil". Not to mention the MC is relegated to a damsel in distress in literally every single situation.

You omitted the point that the FMC got into a bind by not simply telling the prince that she would never again want involvement with him, even were she single.

She behaved like those terrible women who never want to burn a sexual/romantic bridge.

It's late to say this. For a villainess setting, it's kinda fresh to see the prince is the true villain instead of typical dumb and evil woman reincarnated into the main heroine.

Authors just slap the 'Villainess' title onto any character and act like it fits.

You know, if we think about it, while both of the MCs are 'antagonists', it makes sense that as villains/villainesses, they have quite the inflated ego and pride in themselves, to where they won't 'surrender' until they achieve victory, even if they know that won't actually progress the current status of the relationship with their love interest.

As of now, redhead is too stubborn/embarrassed to confess her feelings after all the agonizing and teasing she has put up from cold dude, and will probably not come to confess her feelings until she stands as an equal to him.

Cold dude, while it looks like he harbors mutual feelings for redhead, won't confess his feelings so long as there isn't competition for him to rush things, and wants to stay at the 'top' in their 'fun' rivalry/relationship some more, oblivious to the danger that's escalating around redhead, and it probably won't be until shit hits the fan that he realizes how much he f'ed up not coming to terms with his feelings for her sooner.

In short, this is basically a fantasy 'Love is War' with both protagonists being tsunderes who are just now realizing they have feelings for each other, but are too prideful to 'lose' by confessing their love.

She was the villainess. She's not now. Personally I want to see her parents. They need to lick molten steel in order to apologize to their daughter. Who sticks a child's hand in flames.

I think I find Yuri's behavior more annoying because he's supposed to be smart.

He has to know that Brigitte's spirit awakening was visible across the entire kingdom. It isn't hard to figure out that the 3rd prince is after Brigitte at least in part because of the spirit.

He's sitting on his ass letting things play out when the girl he wants is in actual danger. The prince is enough of a scumbag that Yuri should be worried about a fait accompli - the royal version of "you break it, you buy (marry) it."
