well - I'm coming at it from the start, when Nanase wanted to keep their entire relationship under wraps from everyone, and just treated Yuni like a friend while at school and rebuffed all her attempts at affection/togetherness out of fear of being seen by someone else.

And Yuni didn't communicate her worries and objections of being sidelined, yes. I fully fault Yuni the most out of anyone - because all she had to do was speak up, and I bet Nanase would have done something at that point, however unintentionally neglectful she may have been up to the time Fuuko stepped in.
Technically, Yuni said something all the way back in chapter 3, before any cheating happened. But then yeah, she should've just broken up when the relationship still wasn't making her happy.

Like I said - I'm quickly losing any sympathy for Nanase as this goes on, because it really feels like she just wants to repeat history with Yuni even after everything that's happened.

I still think Yuni is the most at fault, because yes--she did say something to Nanase near the start. But clearly it wasn't enough, and rather than follow up, she continued to vent on her alt socmed account, pout and sulk, and ultimately give in to Fuuko while trying to hide everything from Nanase instead of just going "you know what? I'm not getting what I need from you, so 'goodbye' I'm going with Problem Girl, for better or worse".

Which is why I hope that Nanase actually breaks things off with Yuni before going to her friend Yuki or whatever, because otherwise she's also just a hypocrite which is something that will personally make me lose all respect for someone. (I think it'll make for better story drama so I do look forward to it here, though.) But I think all of them deserve to be unhappy, except surprisingly for Fuuko, because she actually seems like a victim of sorts at the moment in a way that's more serious than the others (given whatever history she has with Piano Glasses).

Let's see Nanase defenders twist themselves into a pretzel to justify this bullshit lol

Seriously, if Yuni didn't question it things would have been worse, cause in the day it happens she would be hit with a slap in the face when Nanase introduces her as a friend even though she expected to be introduced as her girlfriend

I think I said before and I'll repeat, at this point Nanase deserves whatever happens with her

Only way I see a relationship working is if she decides to get a cuck chair :v
No reason to defend Nanase because the second she caught Yuni cheating she chose to stay so she's a dumbass by that moment lmao :smugnako:

In mild defence of Nanase, I do wonder if she was actually intending to introduce Yuni as her girlfriend in the moment but Yuni questioning it in that surprised manner made her hesitate and roll back.

Also Yuni really needs to decide what she wants out of a relationship. She complains about having to keep it secret but the second Nanase broaches the idea of introducing her to family/stop having it a secret then suddenly Yuni is all "Staying just the two of us forever" Like make up your mind.

On the plus side I do like that Yuni at least tried to resist Fuuko even if she did cave pretty quick

I thought "staying the two of us forever" was referring to going on the glamping thing with her family, as opposed to just the two of them, given when she's things "...a friend?...." it's superimposed over the image of Nanase's friend who doesn't like Yuni. Nanase makes a point of backtracking when Yuni shows surprise at her decision to introduce her to Nanase's family, by also stating that "other friends are coming too!" So I figured Yuni was thinking "well, I guess this first time would be with friends and family, and then a future time could just be us, but....what's wrong with just us, always?"

But I could be misinterpreting things.

If only the author would give us even one panel of Nanase previous relationship, than the crumbs we been eating off of, we would have more empathy and understanding to why she constantly fumbles the bag. Fuuko upbringing was a mess and there's some justification to how she is now. As for Yuni, not nearly enough to to justify as it seems more due to her young age and immaturity. And for Nanase...I don't believe there's even enough to fill a paragraph of her history.

It probably would have been for the best lol

Your defense of her is very reasonable lol, that could be a possibility really

If Yuni knew what she wanted we wouldn't have a manga though lol, the plot depends on two out of three main characters being dumb, although Yuni at least knows she has no clue of what she wants lol

Not gonna lie, I find hilarious how Yuni is angry at Fuuko possibly cheating on her, she's such a trash lol

Second this, some flashbacks would be nice cause otherwise it end up looking like she's really negligent and incompetent girlfriend

I think part of the issue is that we never see Nanase showing much of fear and such on people finding about their relationship, without some flashback it feels like plot device so we won't see her as negatively as we would if there was no such excuse

This story has gone in a boring-as-hell direction. Why couldn’t Yuni just enter a poly relationship? Fuuko would accept it anyway—there’s no dignity in her vocabulary lol.
Dunno why so many people love her so much 💁

Nanase's whole purpose at this point is to keep the "cheating" theme of the story going. She is pretty much just a plot device with nonsensical actions. She is a prop.

these things don't necessarily contradict with each other. yuni's a lot more introverted than nanase, so she'd rather be alone with nanase than in a group with nanase, but she also doesn't want a source of shame. she wants to be claimed and prioritized instead of treated like a secret, and being prioritized feeds more into wanting to be just the two of them.

I also think the other person is misinterpreting that line.
It's not Yuni flipflopping on "I want to stop making our relationship so secretive" and then "I don't want you to tell your family about us".

The line where she says "staying just the two of us forever" is her having misgivings about the camping trip being a whole group of people instead of just her and Nanase, or at most her and Nanase + Nanase's family. That is what she's upset about, because all it means is that they can't actually be intimate/act like girlfriends with one another, because Nanase's just gonna keep her at arm's length like always - which is confirmed when Nanase declines to introduce Yuni to her family as her girlfriend and instead as "a dear friend".

It's just Nanase repeating the same mistakes that put Yuni on the path to cheating on her in the first place.
