Honestly, it wasn't explicitly mentioned of being the moment he got married, just the marriage itself somehow leads to his death, so he could still technically have a full life and his wife trips on him when they're both half dead anyways. Besides, once she truly falls for him isn't she going to stretch it out and force it into that sort of situation since it wasn't a hard defined thing, that his beloved wife takes his life when he can no longer move and is vegetative as an act of mercy, etc.

Well this smells like something that might barely make it to 3 volumes, how does this make any sense? Why would he let himself be killed?
Why would she care to kill him now? Why not wait until he is much older? Why would a being as old as creation be so easily flustered? With tens of thousands of people dying everyday, is he really the most important thing in her agenda?

Unless they specify it in later chapters almost nobody would assume there are multiple ones.

EDIT: Checking out the latest chapter (I haven't read all of them) she speaks of Grim Reapers with plural, so I guess you might be right.
