No personal experience. Just some shallow knowledge I've gain from people around me and the internet.
I've been looking up false (and real) accusations and their consequences on an individual. Both justice, mental and social environment. So that's a compounding of it all.

Hoping some of it can help someone or push to research it deeper.

You know I'm not going to lie the deeper I got into this manga the more I came to dislike it, just for probably a different reason from you; well actually it probably relates. The whole point of this manga is that the female lead, the "seductress" character, reveals to the mc secrets about himself he didn't realize. But...how does she even know? All I see is just stereotypes about masculinity and the story being like "oh he got a boner from being next to her that means he likes it" and then the mc is like "oh yeah, I guess I'm a horny degen then". And you know, this is kind of why people are afraid of stuff like that in the first place. Men and getting set up or accused. I'm sure it happens, but in my lifetime the only time I have ever heard of it happening has been on the internet. Influencers have probably shaped the discourse because a lot of the content creator space is crazy as fuck but trust me, I have seen some things firsthand and unless someone has fucked up on a catastrophic level, "let's blackmail this person by recording them in a compromising situation with me" is virtually never the first thing on people's minds. Why? 1. Because you have to be a special kind of malicious to do that 2. Because most people do not have the wealth or power that would make it worth it 3. As proven by yourself, a lot of people are skeptical of women's claims in the first place, to this day. Even in those influencer cases, you might notice that they tend to involve a ton of reciepts and usually if there is a person actively out to ruin someone's life as opposed to get someone to take accountability, it's someone on the outside like a drama youtuber or something.

i wouldn't bother researching because it's not something to be afraid of. The sheer act of researching it is basically poison on the mind and the spirit, more than any person who experienced consequences for an accusation. And if you really think it's important, make sure to keep track of your behavior and actions. Don't do anything that could cause a misunderstanding or get you into a bad situation. That's all.

I really hate stuff like this. It reinforces so many bad stereotypes about both men and women.

I assume that becoming paranoid to such a degree would need an IRL trauma of sorts, I heavily doubt that this would be enough to trigger such an intense reaction.
