Part of me is suspicious that this might turn out to be a fake-out, that there's only one new Karin that has arrived and somehow she's causing all these fake splinters to appear as a distraction for some reason.

Also, the charm only ever said that a deadline exists for Yū to convince each new Karin to date him. If my above suspicion turns out correctly, then the real objective for Yū would be to find the real new Karin instead of making good with every single one of the fakes.

I do wonder where the manga goes after the 3 day time limit is up. Do they negotiate an extension somehow? I would actually like to see them try to continue to make it work with however many Karins they manage to save, for a few volumes until it gets stale, but I guess that would be a genre shift to a more slice-of-life setup and I'm not sure the series has the requisite popularity to make that jump. I guess we should all go buy volumes and stuff.
