Can anyone remember the name of the famous bard that sometimes visits Nobu? I could have sworn his name was Winkel as well. That or I'm just misremembering. Can't remember a chapter he was in to check.

I wonder if his loss of taste and smell are psychosomatic, or if he's just got COVID and he'll be fine once he's cured.

I do think it'll be the next storyline or a soon storyline. Shinobu already picked up on the fact that he'd lost his sense of taste in a previous chapter.

'Crowvinkel' by his early appearance, so at least it sounds similar.
Thank you for clarifying/correcting for me. I knew it was stuck in my head for a reason.

interesting. there are real god tongues out there, but ludwig sr wasnt actually one of them
No, he was, but he lost his sense of taste. That's been the implication anyway. Things like that can happen.

Edit: Never mind, I realized I had only just read the last chapter and not this one.

No, in this chapter he just said he had an ordinary palate, and that he was simply extremely diligent about recording recipes. He says he's a fake and his loss of taste is his punishment for using the God's name in vain, and Lord Bisseling spread the story of Ludwig's "God Tongue" inspired by Deacon Edwin's story about tasting a change in the well water.
