Ah, good point. I hadn't even considered the Schtappe. I was just looking at Hannelore, Myne's adult form and thinking about the circumstances around that night scene in Ehrenfest.

that's just another thing even if Myne got a shtappe there are a number of ways that one can lose it. most prominent one is disinheritance (or whatever the word is i'm not an English 1st language) that threatened angelica in this part of the book and Wilfred just before this chapter. Problem is that the way Myne is there are many ways where she could have stumbled into that unintentionally. her grown up form with the matching hair and eyecolors shows that didn't happen. basically the spoiler is that nothing "bad" happened that derailed her intended path by her own mistakes as bad as it did at the end of p2 (even though that was really obviously staged).
