TOOR is doing their translations on their own, without looking /caring at what the official translation does. Hence the Temple head / Chief priest translation instead of High Bishop / High Priest like in the official translation, and plenty of other things.

The adoption was already legalized the moment she dropped blood on Sylvester's necklace in chapter 58. It's helpful because without that emergency contract, her words held no weight at all against a noble, and Ferdinand wouldn't be able to take action.

All the hoops they went through later (laundering her birth record as Karsted's child) was for the sake of appearance, as an archduke can't really adopt a commoner out of nowhere without inviting dissidence.

i know when it happened the point of this entire thread was who she was originally supposed to end up with as the og commenter thaught she was already adopted (something not discussed before this chapter) and the only point at which the adoption was mentioned before was with Karsted

Sylvester is not a blood member of the royal family. Maybe at best very distant since royal family mingled with many arch dukes not to mention the old ways let archduke candidates become king.

But he for certain isn't nephew of the king. There isn't even any known living nephew of the king, only a living niece who is currently an arch duke candidate of the #1 ducky

Part 2 took 7 years to complete (it started in 2018), for 4 volumes in the LN. Part 5 is 12 LN volumes, so 3 times bigger.
Even if part 5 manga adaptation starts now, it wouldn't be surprising for it to take 10-15 years to complete, if not even longer.
