getting "kid moved from the last dungeon boonies to the starter town" vibes from the ML here.

He might be a wizard and with amazing skills as a "Support" to his family all that time,
but he's a fucking imbecile when it comes to emotional intelligence and social awareness.

For someone who should have ostensibly been some level of psychologist due to all the work done alongside his family in every facet of their professional lives, his inability to actually read the people around him is almost immersion-breaking levels of bad.

Then again, he also suffers from the core trait of the genre this story belongs to, namely "I don't actually know that I'm OP and no one around me can be bothered to correct me in no uncertain terms", so.
I shouldn't be surprised.

At least he solved his money troubles but Idk how he doesn't believe he's good enough to support her. It would've made more sense if he was either fed up with the entertainment world for all that work he did or traumatize from being banished (or the plain old fear of his former family finding what he is doing). Regardless that pout from Himeji is adorable. Thanks for the translations.

I think regardless of his actual skill, he's been derided long enough from his family that he believes their words to be the truth. In contrast, Auska's success and achievements are clear out in the open, with both acknowledgement at large, as well as personally from our MC. The way he sees things is as an unfathomable divide, even if any given girl doesn't see it the same way, or doesn't care regardless if it's true or not.

Small reminder that previous school's chairman is also Twintail-chan's mom :meguu:

I think Asuka is a better character. I hope she doesn't lose.

But, hopefully, with him away from his family she becomes more proactive like she is now.

I know Asuka is supposed to be the tsundere type, but I hope they don't go too much into the tsuntsun side and negatively affect their relationship like the other manga that updated recently.
