yeah they really were just never even told why they're not in the running for the throne. "grandfather favors Shagard for some reason" is insane tbh. Like how badly have their parents fucked the two of them up.

And again it's a shame but, there does just come a point where even if the fault lies with the parent the child has grown up rotten.

Alright, her life sucks. Should anyone care? Hell no. She's another worthless "all men are pigs" whore, nothing more. Author really knows how to make truly unlikable and worthless women. Hopefully she and her brother get a satisfying conclusion (for us, not for them).

I am impressed that they somehow don't understand that they are literally just bastards who don't even deserve to live in the Palace. This just makes want to their heads roll faster than Sonic.
Necessary for the Archetypes... They're flat 1D Villain characters destined for the Block.

Unless the author pulls the sugar-and-spice Epiphany-and-Redemption plot trick. Which in ways is even more revolting than the Obvious Bad End conclusion.

Key here is the actual Crown Prince, who has nothing resembling a spine to begin with, and is being set up for Failure just as much as the Ebil Twins.
You have to wonder what level of Wet Rag he needs to be to have gotten an education fitting for a Crown Prince and still be that timid a little waif.
And why he's even considered fit to inherit the Crown.

Idk if this chapter was supposed to make me sympathize with these siblings or just showcase why they’re so twisted, but to paraphrase a particular GIF:

I’m supposed to feel sorry for those bitches? I don’t!

First half kept reminding me of Jon Snow being called a 'Damn Bastard'!

This narcissist bitch's psychological projection is off the charts.

Thanks for the chapter.

Maybe the grandfather has a good marriage prospect lined up, a duke’s daughter who has the will and smarts needed to rule, but can’t just because she’s a woman?
That way, he can get a ruler who is actually able to rule, and hope that his great-grandson from her and Shagard gets the mother’s will and father’s legitimacy.

My guess is that Shag prince is somehow protecting those two. Either that or using them as a filter for whom to trust.
