you just know she’s gonna break the second Sou steps out of that locker. Sou’s contained boysmell will hit all the nearby girls like mustard gas.
I wonder how Yuri-chan is holding up in there…

nah, fam. that ain't gyaru. that's what we call minefield girl (forgot the japs word for it). the one with emotional unstability.
Jiraikei is the term you're looking for. And the emotional instability is a stereotype that's unfairly associated with the term IRL, when it just denotes a type of fashion. And of course, jiraikei female characters often (but not always) inherit this stereotype.

Screenshot-20250729-013528-Chrome.jpg

Chapter 151 alluded her.

Looks like class 2C guards are unstable due to absence of Male scholarship student and going insane. Perhaps they will battle with class 2E. Class 2E is also going insane due to Sou-chan's eccentric behavior.

God (Author-san) is too cruel for this world. Some yearn for a drop of joy of Male companionship while other drown in flood.

New character mean new arc. There goes my fulfilling family time for another 6 months.

Author-san is also cruel to me, :angery: I am also yearning for companionship of my favorite girl.
She's from class D, not class C.

edit: it was menhera (in the future)
You're mixing up jiraikei (the fashion style) and menhera (the mental instability), although they are stereotypically associated with each other (in the sense that if jiraikei, then also menhera, with the opposite way being weakly correlated at best).

You forget chokers and Thick thighs!!
Her thighs don't look visibly thicker than the normal to me.

"Jirai kei" translates to "landmine type".

There isn't a stereotype being attributed to a fashion style, it's the opposite, the aesthetic became a connotation to a term used to refer to emotionally unstable girls due a noticed overlap of that mentality and girls who engaged in trendy internet fashion, such as e-girl and lolita.

Only later did the term acquire a life of its own in the aesthetic sense.

Aesthetically speaking, "jirai kei" isn't too different from the many e-girl-adjecent styles that have been popular in the East and West for some time now, what primarily differentiates it as a subtype is the perceived extreme emotional behavior of its demographic that consequentially over-emphasizes the motifs and elements of those previous styles.

I made mistake while writing that. Was trying to say What she is saying was alluded back in chapter 151. She will not talk about herself and her class in 3rd person. Also, if she like group leader is here then the Male student will also be there nearby. She looks tired.
Might it will be that overweight one who Misaki-chan saw in 135?

Guys, we're overlooking something important with Kurose. All of the girls we have seen are jealous to a T when it comes to the boy in their class. Kurose supposedly was guarding the boy from class D, but she instead has come all the way to class E. But why would she leave her man behind during school hours? Simple - he's gone. She is now hunting for a new man.

Right now she's taking the opportunity to roast Konno, who she thinks must be in the same position as her because Konno has left S-what's-his-name behind.

Another curious thing is that she doesn't even know Suzuki's name. These girls classes must be completely concealing all information about their male students to the point where it is necessary to actually visit them to get information. This is not something you'd do lightly, as the girls would definitely chase off the potential competition. The fact that Hana has won over the girls of class E will come as a bolt from the blue.

Good catch, but I don't think her guy is that one. The girls are only shown as rough shapes in that image and of course the author might change stuff anytime, but kisa sensei plans out ahead. I mean, we had that for the Class 2-A girls in the train and when you look at the first images, where only their shapes are visible - but you can still clearly discern between Aya and Hana.
If the team in 135 is from 2-D, then Ruri should be recognizable in that image - she has distinctive twintails and carries her baton on the leg. Neither of these girls look really fitting, so that group might be either the one from Class 2-B or 2-C. Or it could even be a team from another grade altogether, Misaki did also not mention when she witnessed that scene...

If we assume that team is one of the current groups, then my educated guess would be 2-C. Kaede said the girls from that class dislike their guy and that they are troublesome because they are frustrated about him. If he's like that and they basically have to clean up his mess all the time then I can understand why they would be annoyed.

But Ruri's escort team and target should be nearby. I mean, afternoon classes have ended and the grade will likely have rooms on the same floor. If she's from 2-D, it would be natural that her team is in the room next door or right outside, if they want to leave the building now. Meaning we might get to see a new male student soon.

Does class D even have male scholarship student? I am sure that there are only 3 of them mentioned so far in the story.
I would assume so. Reason being Ruri's attitude:

Ruri: "Or perhaps your target decided to stop coming to school, just like Class C's."

With this she's indirectly saying that Aya failed to do her job - and given how Miss Number 2 sees herself, this will trigger her. Especially because it's not true: Suzuki has no intention of dropping out or skipping school and Aya has a rather normal, that is professional work relationship with him. Ruri wouldn't sneer at her like that, if class 2-D was in a similar position or doesn't even have a guy assigned at all. That would only hand Aya ammunition for a direct counter.

Unless in Ruri's case being a "landmine girl" means that she's the one who steps on landmines all time...

But we will know soon enough, I guess.

Konoe Academy should have several male students, one in each class (we know there are at least five classes in grade 2 and there are different grades. Some guys may drop out or skip school, though... But Suzuki confirmed there are others and that they find him weird because of his tastes. So, there should be more than just three.

Ruri's (new girl) Class = D
