I'm sad it's over (so abruptly at that), but looking back, I never really expected that I would feel something from what was on the surface kinda a simple comedy yuri manga setup?
Something about Mimiru's insecurities and imposter syndrome really resonated with me—maybe it's that I too used to be a weird kid and eventually found my way into more normie circles. Even now there are things I ramble on about and I'm self-conscious of them, but I'm constantly reminded that I'm appreciated much more than I realise—
I wish we got to see more of these girls' lives, but it's rare that a manga manages to make me feel and cry as much as this one did. Would it have been nicer to have proper closure on her relationship with Yuuhi? Perhaps. But to me a large theme was also the contrast between Mimiru's insecurities and the fact that she had already been accepted and appreciated by her friends, and I'm glad I got to see what little I got to see of her story.
Thanks for the manga and thanks for the scanlation.
