It would be easy to let Harold deal with everything by simply destroying it, but that is a storytelling device that gets boring, her acting on her own volition in her own way is much more engaging.

The mimic was trying to escape too. Bael was setting up for revenge against those who "cast us down here".
The odds of this place being a literal hell are significantly higher than any sort of time travel.

I think Abandoned is rather some kind of limbo where things that don't fit with the zeitgeist of the normal world are banished to.
Like overpowered heroes, dwarf-elf hybrid girls that still want to make weapons in an era of peace, and dwarves that make giant things.

Also if anyone wants to complain about the plural of dwarf, yes I know "dwarves" exists. Both forms are acceptable as far as I know but "dwarfs" is easier to fit into bubbles, so I chose it for practical reasons.
