That's actually a really good point. No one probably thought of it cause they were in despair and didn't tell anyone else so couldn't get a different POV.The only cure to the kid's disease is for a blood relative to die, have a specific flower that grows in a highly dangerous desert decompose their bones, wait 2 years, and then make a medicine from it? I mean, ok fine, magic medicine and magic diseases or whatever but how did anybody even figure that out, and why wouldn't just cutting off an arm/leg and letting it decompose that not work?
How did people discover that letting milk ferment in specific temperatures with specific bacteria create yogurt? Or that by crushing the specific pieces of grass, mixing it with water, and then throwing it in fire would create bread. People will discover the most obscure things with enough time, skill, and requirements. Add into the fact that the world is established as having people with specific abilities tailored directly to their "tree" and it is very possible that an alchemist or researcher or academic of some sort -- or just a very determined person in similar circumstances that tried just about everything -- stumbled upon those specific circumstances. I don't find it as mystifying that such a remedy was discovered. But the method is very, very tragic. The only cure to the kid's disease is for a blood relative to die, have a specific flower that grows in a highly dangerous desert decompose their bones, wait 2 years, and then make a medicine from it? It's a plant that needs to grow in a desert condition over two years, after all. Such a plant, if exists, would probably have to be effective at extracting nutrients from decaying organic matter, but it's long growth phase means that it would need to have a sizable amount of organic matter reserve to grow to its full. That's actually a really good point. Oh yeah! I didnt thought of that. Though he also restored Euril obaasan's youth and no way the grandma with broom had been injured by monster in any recent time. I dont think the "monster" rule here must be in recent time then. Also, random note, but I thought restoration was limited to monster inflicted damage. If Garudo was stabbed by his sister in law, then how did MC restore him or am I missing something? Like because there was SOME damage from a monster in recent time he can restore to a time before he got stabbed but had suffered some damage from the monster.
Ok nvm answered my own question
Yeah it's definitely not. Thinking back on main girl, forgetting names left and right here but they made a point to say it took him 10 years to max it and use it to save....Sora which was his original goal before Mu or Euril even existed as party members.Oh yeah!
