Wow that was manipulative. Trying to trick a kid into contractual obligations to join your institution (likely with high costs too), since you think its guardian is not present and can stop you. Through telling it that it is in trouble and must do so or it and its guardian will end up in trouble.

There's always been something slightly off about this manga, like the general vibe, interactions, world building and characters seem hard to grasp and most of the time it feels confusing.

Is the translation because it doesn’t seem to make any damn sense in the last few chapters.

As of chapter 34, they have a new translator who is notably worse than the old one. Still have the same QC and proofreader though, who IMO, should have picked up on this shit.
