This is simply sublime. I read a lot of Yuri works but rarely have I ever pore over any manga page by page like this one. The panel composition is so well done that it completely draws you into Kasumi’s and Haruyo’s world. I haven’t felt like this since watching MariMite.

I especially like that top panel on that page, the way her arms are reaching into the panel from so far away so carefully and distantly holding that connection to Haruyo; I'm pretty sure it makes very little sense "realistically" for her to be that far away and have her arms so straight out at that height and in that pose and all, but that's the point it's a very stylized and expressive panel not just a literal depiction
The framing on this panel is insane. I love it

Never knew ribbon tying could be so... passionate. I really can't wait for the friction in this story as it feels good in narative sense compared to some other dramas that feel like it's for the sake of it rather than an actual progression of the story. It's so such a cool interpretation of S stories. Haruyo big sis collectedness resides in the fun of the game she's having, while Kasumi seems lil sis because of how smitten she is with the entire rp despite the actual ages. Awesome framing. I wonder if there will be a friction point down the line of Kasumi wanting more while Haruyo just wants the rp

What a feast! The visual narrative of this chapter was brilliant. The author made us feel just like the characters with the ribbon exchange and the curtain scene.
Thank you for translating this manga! :hearts:

“Haha it’s totally normal to kiss your sister what are you talking about hold still” it’s coming I can feel it
I thought that moment already passed on p 27. Sumi is on her toes…

Interesting detail: Haruyo’s nickname, Paruyo (パルよ in katakana) translates to ‘pal’ or ‘friend’. I may be off here as I’m just a beginner in Japanese, so please correct me if I am.

I'm surprised Haruyo's managing to suppress her obvious desire to kiss Kasumi. Really, they're both so plainly down bad for each other I have to wonder how long this coy, sisterly relationship is gonna last, before one of them pounces on the other.

I love how Haruyo keeps accidentally flirting with Kasumi. Poor Kasumi is gonna have to deal with so many different feelings before Haruyo even realizes what she's doing to her.

This manga is fascinating as a series that’s not just a romance story, but a story about romanticism, and the longing for a heightened emotional reality. And you can absolutely see how it’ll drive the tension in their relationship, as they become more aware of the less-sisterly aspects of their feelings, and potentially suppress them in fear that they’ll compromise the little world they’ve built to escape to.

They’ve already had one crisis of concrete reality intruding on their world of pure emotion, after all, when Haruyo discovered Kasumi was a high-schooler. And they’re learning to navigate the aftermath of that. So sexual desire they can’t keep sublimating is a natural progression from that conflict.

How accidental is it even? We don't get a peek into her thoughts in those moments, only Kasumi's, but we do see her all distracted and flustered in class after having first exchanged the ribbons with Kasumi. She's at least somewhat conscious of it, too, even if she's not showing it to Kasumi.
