I keep coming back to this chapter just to kind of admire Haruyo's expressions on page 28.
She looks so "Aw man, there it is, that thing I was worried about, that was inevitably going to arrive", but she's still facing her body into it as it blasts her in the face (though her eyes are closed).
idk I just feel so "she's doing her best". She's trying to face the music, she's trying to get her feelings across. It means something to me.

I'm glad I gave this series a try! I foolishly assumed it was going to be pure fluff based on the cover image.
I filed a report to correct the official demographic from shoujo to seinen (because Kadokomi tags this series as seinen). But honestly this is a perfect illustration of how stupidly irrelevant the official demographic can be to the actual contents of a series, especially when it's yuri. Nothing about this story gives the impression that the creator intended it for 'men', it just happens to be serialized in the same webcomic magazine as Isekai Ojisan and Mieruko-chan.

ribbons are cute, interesting how they're detachable, idk how many of the male uniforms have ties but it'd be sucky if you got in trouble for taking it off b/c it got dirty or losing it/coming off b/c it got stuck on something
And dang, while it's not impossible i wonder how many ppl realistically wanna be in the fbi as a teen or actually start on their way to whatever the JP equivalent of the CIA is and such, i imagine maybe an office worker job but maybe not a female agent, tho idk anything about the JP military/soldiers

it's a little awkward, but it looks cuter in this style than it would irl, well, depending on if you have fluffy hair or the face frame to pull it off so it doesn't look like a mushroom head/bowl cut if not dyed and also dressed full on 'punk/butch' to match it (not that you can't be feminine with short hair too)
(tho depending on how uptight/strict her parents are i wonder how upset they'd be to cut off that much hair)
Guess it depends on how it's styled/young you look but i feel like someone would look even younger feminine presenting with shorter hair versus longer hair considering how long it takes to grow (tho i've never had hair past my shoulders so i wouldn't know, but might also depend on the coloration and how healthy/damaged it is. unlikely given jp other than 'anime hair' but it would be interesting to see some 13 year old teenager with full on naturally' white or a really good silver dye job), or just ppl keeping it short as they get older b/c it's a pain to deal with.

Rereading this I'm really loving the composition of page 25. It makes Haruyo look very small and petite despite her size. Appropriate for how she feels as well as Sumi's first pov of this mysterious younger girl.

Oh wait I just remembered the plot point of her old friend taking over her old life, well if she recognized her in such a way then based off current knowledge that would mean these two girls already had a falling out long ago... Watch it get confirmed this very chapter so I sound like a dumbass
