Nah, I think you got it first time around. Sword handles more on matters with people. Archer handles more on matters with nature/monster. Torch handles more on exploration and dungeoneering. It just happens that these roles are symbolized with the things that they most commonly are holding. What the hell is "torch adventurer" anyway? I thought it was some kind of pioneer or the kind of adventurer who explores unknown area for the first time, mapping, light up the way, hence the "torch". But then he said "...sword, bow, torch" so it's a weapon/role classification? Who the hell uses torch as a weapon? Fire mage? Or does it mean someone who uses magic? Knowing how the hammer dude said MC almost completed all three certification, how his skill is inherently compatible with both sword and bow (so long as you're creative), and how he likes doing all three, I think it does refer to magic user yeah.
Sounds like a symbolic classification by function or class rather than weapon. The other two being warrior and hunter, this one sounds like a treasure-hunting role that has you descend into dark dungeons, and that implies lighting your way with a torch, I guess. What the hell is "torch adventurer" anyway?
Yeah, kinda true. The concept of gravity is the only knowledge from old world. Later in the story, there'll be some God-mythology reference but still not enough. It's kind of the manga to remind us all that this is an Isekai.
Because nothing else would warrant this being an isekai to begin with.
Seriously though, this is the most superficial useless addition of this is an Isekai btw.
