You know i always thought about how in older anime and mangas like in Magic Knight Rayearth, Escaflowne and even Inuyasha the characters normaly didn't die before going to another world and they almost always have the goal of comming back home while in the modern isekai they almost always died to go to another world and either there's no way to come back or they don't even think about comming back, enjoying the new fantasy life more. It being a mirror of the insastifaction with current society could be an away to interpret it.Touched on an interesting idea. Did the isekai genre become popular because the economy and quality of life for young people in Japan declined? Does that apply to Millennials as a whole? Escapism from boomers, inflation, and no jobs?
HOLY SHIT YOURE RIGHT, THE SUBCONSCIOUS OF CARLA IS MANIFESTING IN THE CREATURES BEHAVIOR LIKE WHEN DEMIHUMANS WITH TAILS WAG IT WHEN THEYRE HAPPYTouched on an interesting idea. You weren't paying attention. The 3 servants are linked to Carla. Where do you think all their affection for Elis is coming from?
Next chapter is about Wendy. Are we fr not getting any flashback of how we could come to this point? I'm especially curious about how and why windy ends up and stays on MC side after her statement of hatred prior (probably a truce to fight with MC sister, but still i would want to know the detail). Hyped for the update nonetheless 😅
Even old series like Digimon had their protagonists have the goal of going back home. I'm still deeply in love with this flawed and perfct manga, thought i'm saddened that it seens my ship of onee-samaxgiant sister was sunk.
Thanks for the translations!
The shittier real life is, the greater the appeal of escape.Touched on an interesting idea. Did the isekai genre become popular because the economy and quality of life for young people in Japan declined? Does that apply to Millennials as a whole? Escapism from boomers, inflation, and no jobs?
This is what had me re-reading the chapter. I thought maybe I misinterpreted, because I absolutely thought this was going an onee-sama ship route. I woulf have sooner thought Elis and Carla were fighting for who gets to date Onee-sama, and that they weren't into each other in that regard. But it seems like, no, little sister x little sister is what's happening?I'm still deeply in love with this flawed and perfct manga, thought i'm saddened that it seens my ship of onee-samaxgiant sister was sunk.
