I respectfully disagree. I think he could do with some rivals/villians. I really liked Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple, all of his masters were op but they wouldn't interfere in his bouts against fighters of similar skill. But maybe im looking for something in the wrong place I mean this is a Wife Husbandry tale first and foremost so 🤷

Could he even have a rival? Only reason this dude isn’t a red mist right now is because he’s in the one spot where the teachers can’t hit him.

I think the hero would be a potentially better rival. Not someone he wants to defeat but someone he wants to outshine so she doesn’t have to carry the burden of the world. We haven’t really seen her fight but I’m sure she’s stronger than him and has more potential than his teachers
